GRADUATION, Baby!
My baby is graduating…the 8th grade. And my other baby…is graduating the 5th grade. Are they off to college? Not quite yet! But these are some pretty big milestones and they deserve to be celebrated!
This month is full of events for these kiddos and I am so thrilled to host, participate and congratulate my kids and all of their sweet friends some who are moving up to high school and some to middle school.
The highlight parties will be a dinner that I’m hosting following my son’s 8th grade graduation ceremony where we will also celebrate the siblings who are going to middle school and a pre-party for the 8th grade dance.
For the post grad ceremony event, I’m hosting a few of our neighbor families who have kids that are close to my son for a surprise dinner. They all know that they are coming for dinner, but the kids don’t know what I’m serving…and it’s their favorite. You’ll have to check my instagram account on May 24th to find out.
I am planning to decorate the backyard with graduation “2023” balloons, a Marquee that reads GRAD and graduation themed tableware. I’ll have a graduation themed playlist on and we’ll toast the kids with mocktails and a delicious, festive dinner!
On May 19th, just a few days ahead of their graduation ceremony, the kids will be attending the 8th grade semi formal dance and I suggested having a few boys…and girls over for a little pre-party before the dance. This will be a GREAT opportunity for PHOTOS! I will decorate with a balloon installation, GRAD marquees (re-purposing for the dinner) and tons more. Again…you’ll have to tune in on May 19th to see! I can’t wait!
Now with all this said, if you’re looking for some graduation party supplies I GOT YOU! I have a few left in the shop and I’ve put together a bundle at a discounted rate. I’m throwing in a set of cups (because there are a few that are very slightly damaged in the package) for free! DM me if you’re interested in and I’ll get this shipped out (or dropped off if you’re local) ASAP! I only have a few left!
To all the kids out there who have worked their buns off to get to their graduation - CONGRATS! I’m so very proud of you.
