Best of our Cinco De Mayo Celebrations
The other day I was texting with a friend, trying to make dinner plans and asked if she was free on Friday May 5ht. She said, YES SERI! We can do dinner on Cinco De Mayo! AH! I forgot! That got me thinking about all of the past content we have created for Cinco De Mayo and DAMNNNN IS IT GOOOOOOD! Let’s take a walk down memory lane as we celebrate this holiday that celebrates the date of the Mexican army's May 5, 1862 victory over France at the Battle of Puebla during the Franco-Mexican War!
Tequila Soup!
This was my absolute FAVE! The colors, the food and the DRINKS!! Maggie designed this adorable chalkboard sign with the menu featuring tequila soup! Brilliant!
In the Jungle
This Cinco De Mayo set up was during my first year living in Florida. We set this dinner party up at my friends house, by her pool which feels like it’s in the jungle as it’s surrounded by lush trees, palm and bushes. It was so stinking pretty. With the water in the background, bright pops or orange and green, Paloma cocktails and a dinner that we took out from Cantina Louis. Maggie painted everyone’s name on a glass plate for seating cards and we found stunning flowers to round out the table.
Party by the Pool
Finally, was the set up we did at my house in Florida once I was settled into our new house and the community. I invited some neighbors over for dinner and cocktails and it was so nice dining by the pool with the cool evening breeze! Maggie made us a hand painted water color runner and name cards for each place setting that were all so totally gorgeous and we used arranged brightest flowers we could find!
However you are celebrating Cinco De Mayo, we hope you have fun and stay safe! Olé!
