Community Recipes for St. Patrick's Day Celebrations

I recently posted on one of the groups that I participate in asking for recipes to serve for a St. Patrick’s Day celebration. I received so many amazing ideas!! I thought, why not put them all into a blog post and share so if you’re ever looking for one of these ideas, you can easily locate! Here you go!

By Maryanne:
Corned beef and cabbage sliders on kings Hawaiian buns. Pot of gold beer cheese dip with pretzels.
Tip: for the sliders I love the Fresh Market vinegar coleslaw versus cooked cabbage with the corned beef.

By Kim:
My mom always makes a pistachio cake — super easy made with cake mix and pistachio pudding. Guinness cupcakes are always delicious too though more involved. Shepherds pie if you’re going for authenticity. You can make mini ones.

By Erin:
I’ve done corn beef sliders on Hawaiian rolls and Baileys Irish cream bunt cake. Check out Pinterest.

This cocktail was a crowd favorite for St. Patrick day: Caipirinha (pronounced kai-pee-ree-nyah) is Brazil’s national cocktail! It is traditionally made with cachaça (ka-shah-suh) – a sugarcane distilled spirit -, lime and sugar. The right way to prepare a caipirinha is by layering the ingredients. Lime and sugar go in first, and get muddled to release the lime juices. Then, you add the ice and finally the liquor.

ALSO: Baked spinach and artichoke dip, serve with pita crisps and sliced baguette. Rainbow fruit skewer strawberry, raspberry, orange, kiwi, grape, blueberry, blackberry…Amazon has these cute little cloud skewers…Prosciutto wrapped asparagus…mini broccoli quiche (Kroger’s are inexpensive and really good) spanakopita and tzatziki…and of course green beer

Cream de menthe brownies. I use Giradelli mix use double package for thick brownies take out of oven and poke holes and drizzle cream de menthe as much as you think you want let soak in then icing add small amount of cream de menthe to either vanilla or cream cheese frosting spread layer then drizzle melted dark chocolate across top. They are delicious.

By Michaela:
Baked feta drizzled with honey, green pistachios, and freshly chopped mint.

By Joda:
Not necessarily adult cocktail party worthy, but the kids would love it. Check out pistachio fluff.

By Debbie:
Bailey’s offers a mint version - add a little green food coloring and serve it chilled with whipped cream or in coffee.

Midori Sours are green and tasty - (Melon Liqueur and Sour Mix)

Food options - guacamole as a dip. Broccoli florets make great flowers or hair if you want to try and create a leprechaun or 4 leaf clover.

Now of course if you are hosting a St. Patrick’s Day celebration than you need to stock up with themed tableware and decor don’t you?! Come by The Social Society for all of the St. Patrick’s Day fun!
