A Flocktail at The Social Society

This past December we hosted a Flocktail at The Social Society and let me tell you…it was an absolute blast. What is a Flocktail you may ask? It’s a Cocktail Party put on by Flamingo Magazine. I just adore the team at Flamingo Magazine. They ran a feature on me and The Social Society in their December 2024 issue and the article included my family’s latke recipe.

Once the article was live and out there - the team at Flamingo Magazine asked if we could host a cocktail party (but a Flocktail) in the shop to promote the issue, drum up sales and subscriptions for the magazine and in my shop and of course, to celebrate the holiday season. My reply was an instant: OF COURSE!

We brought in Audrey of Regard Libations for the food and bar and guess what? We served my latkes! We set up our rolling cart as a latke bar and Audrey nailed my recipe! She had all of the accoutrements set out for the guests to top their latkes with and they were a HUGE HIT!

Flamingo Magazine brought in a few other vendors to join the party, who were also featured in their magazine.

We had Ryan Campbell playing live music as well as Goldyn Hour Style selling her vintage clothing finds and Sara Lear who was customizing our trucker hats, dog stockings, anything our guests wanted! All amazing vendors who were a pleasure to party with!

The Social Society sets up so perfectly for a cocktail party. In this case, we encouraged and welcomed our guests to shop for the holidays but for a private cocktail party, we could clear out the merchandise tables, bring in high boys and bam you’ve got yourself an awesome space to party in!
