Unicorn Day

Unicorn Day is April 9th. Sounds ridiculous but also, nice to have a day to celebrate unicorns because I’m sure we all know a “unicorn” in our lives. To me, a “unicorn” is a special person who makes you smile and brings you joy. Someone who is positive and uplifting. Someone who is kind and makes you feel like a million bucks. I know quite a few unicorns personally and professionally and am forever grateful for these amazing humans who I get to have in my life.

As for actual unicorns, let me tell you, it’s the number 1 theme that we work with. Makes sense! Unicorns are fun, colorful, imaginative and playful. We have an amazing selection of unicorn party supplies in the shop such as plates, napkins, balloons and confetti. Of course, we also build on the unicorn theme with colors that coordinate like pink, purple, teal and yellow. Furthermore, we build in rainbows because if there’s a unicorn, there’s a rainbow.

Here are some unicorn themed events that we have done for some extra smiles this Unicorn Day….

StitchFix Kids:
This was one of my favorite corporate events. It was to launch Stitchfix for kids, a subscription based clothing company. We had a blast building this event that was tailored to a unicorn theme. We sourced a life size, plush unicorn to stage at our photo wall and for the wall itself we found fabric that looked like unicorn hair and quite literally built a rainbow, unicorn wall. It was incredible.

Unicorn themed Private Event for a birthday at The Social Society:
This was an awesome birthday party for the sweetest little girl who wanted a unicorn theme. We had so much fun putting this together and the colors were so fun. The girls decorated jewelry boxes and ate pizza and cake off of unicorn plates. Just darling!

A Magical First Birthday Party:
This was one of my favorite first birthday parties to style. The theme was unicorns and the details were prettier than ever. The soft pink, unicorn cupcakes, balloons….it all came together so perfectly!
