The Best of Simply Beautiful Eating's Holiday Posts
You know who sets a mean tables cape? Our very own Debi of Simply Beautiful Eating! Over the years she’s created quite a few note worth tables and recipes. So as I start to nail down my plans for all the upcoming holiday tables capes, I thought it’d do a round up of all my favorites here.
One of Debi’s most notable set ups in my mind was this over the top pie bar! It was so rustic and beautiful. She even shows you how to put together this adorable ribbon garland. I think I may have to set up something like this for my upcoming Thanksgiving dinner table.
Looking for a delicious & seasonal cocktail for Thanksgiving? Try these Pumpkin & Cinnamon White Russian Cocktails. Be sure to grab a few wine glass markers too so that its Covid friendly!
To me (as a non-Jew) Hanukkah is all about LATKES! It is our holiday treat & tradition that Seri makes us these tasty snacks each year. This year sadly we won’t be together for this high holiday but, you can get this delicious latke recipe straight from Debi’s blog post. And if you’re having a few close friends over this holiday season, try making a latke bar! I love that you can add all these fun toppings!
Could you die from this monochromatic Hanukkah table?! So cute! I especially love these statement plates at each setting. The table feels so full with only a few simple elements and of course a little bit of confetti!
Not having guests over this holiday season?! WE GET IT! It’s been a weird year, and we’re staying inside too. If you don’t want to go through the fuss of taking out all the holiday decor but still want to add a little something to your home, try decorating a small area like your mantel. Instead of putting out a traditional menorah for Hanukkah, Debi placed these gorgeous blue candles across the top of her fireplace which instantly transformed the space with such little other decor!
No matter what holiday you celebrate, its always nice to have a decorated bar cart. You will use it SO much between holiday cocktails with friends, Irish coffees on a lazy Sunday, and at the end of a long work day. I love the way Debi decided to dress up hers to make it the perfect little hot cocoa station for entertaining guests! Complete with freshly baked chocolate chip cookies, you grab the recipe for that right here.
And if you want to dress up your kitchen, try a tablescape like this one! In true LMP style with pink bottle brush trees. This is such a fun idea for a place card holder. It’s also awesome if you’re someone who likes to do non-traditional colors for the holidays.
A great recipe available on our blog for the Christmas season are these spice cake cupcakes with a cinnamon cream cheese frosting. Bake a few up, decorate, and place them on any cake stand or bar cart to double as decor and a perfect holiday snack.
And if cupcakes aren’t your style and you want to go the more traditional route on holiday treats, check out these gorgeous Gingerbread houses that Debi doubled as decor on her winter wonderland inspired table. This one is definitely for those who deem themselves “crafty”, so I think I’ll be leaving it to the professionals :)
Of course before Covid, we lived for a good old fashion holiday dessert table. Complete with all our favorite color coordinated treats. This picture pretty much speaks for its self. It’s beyond gorgeous! And one thing I especially love about it is that you can keep these decor pieces out passed December because its not holiday specific!
