How We Passover
The Jewish holidays were always my favorite time of year as it was when our entire family would get together at my Boobie's house. Since moving to New York City I am rarely at these dinners and now host dinners for my own family members and friends since our family here is much smaller then at home in Toronto. I'm always sad and a little envious of what I'm missing back at home. Being with everyone and of course the food. Our family dinners have always been like a potluck. Boobie makes the soup and sides, Aunt Sandy brings the brisket, Aunt Debi makes the meatballs, My mom makes dessert and my sister brings homemade macarons that she packages up all pretty for everyone to take home. This year Aunt Debi who you know as The Garden of Eatin' took photos of Boobie's table in a whole new light. I have seen this same set up for the past 35 years and have never seen it captured so beautifully before. I'm so lucky to have such a beautiful and loving family and hope to make it home for more of these dinners in the future.
