We are back in the office after an incredible Holiday season, and I'll tell ya, as wonderful as the down time is, I'm glad to be back in action!

We received some awesome Holiday gifts over here at LMP from our vendors, and I gotta say, my absolute favorite was an incredibly clever tea infuser from one of our favorite caterers, Pinch Food Design.

Pinch always blows us away with their presentation and creativity, and this years Holiday gift was no exception.  They sent us some beautiful Tea infusers, with a recipe for a homemade tea cocktail! Of course, I had to try it out.

And let me tell you, it was incredible... and you can easily make your own at home!

Here's what you need: - loose hibiscus tea - spice mixture of cinnamon stick, dried orange peel, allspice berries and cloves - spiced rum - fresh orange - fresh lemon - honey

Here's what to do: 1) Boil up 2 cups of water in a tea kettle. Transfer to large mug or bowl. 2) Put your tea and spice mixture to an infuser or cheese cloth. Steep in the hot water, about 2-3 hours for full flavor.

3) After tea has steeped, remove infuser.  Microwave tea for 2 minutes to reheat. 4) Measure 1 oz. of rum into each cocktail glass or mug.  Then, add your steeped tea to each glass, filling about 3/4 of the way.

4) Add a little bit of honey for some sweetness, if you'd like.  Add a fresh orange wedge, a lemon rind, and a cinnamon stick for garnish.

I'm gonna sip on this and pretend like it fits into my New Year detox plan, since, ya know, it IS a tea-based cocktail!

Wishing everyone a Happy and Healthy New Year! Until next week...
