Game Night at Home

Ever since moving to Florida, our schedule has ramped up more than ever in our lives. With that said, there is the odd night or weekend afternoon that I force as “free” on the calendar so we can all take a breather between sports, plans and all the other fun that we have going on. We normally use this free time to CHILL OUT but we also sometimes plan fun activities that we can enjoy all together as a family.

Luke recently suggested game night.  I LOVED this idea!  We have tons of board games and though we got our money’s worth out of these games during the time we were quarantined for Covid, we haven’t broken them open since!

So I broke into the “game” hutch and pulled out some of our favorites. I set them up in a pile for the kids to choose from right in front of the couch, in front of the fireplace, in front of the TV so we could end the night with a movie if we chose to.

To make things super easy, I used the components from our “customizable” party in a box for a cute set up and easy clean up! My friends at Mary Giuliani had once sent me a cocktail party in a box and I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to break it open, pop in the oven and serve delicious bites for us to nosh on while we enjoyed playing these games together.

It was the perfect mix of fun, laughter and quality family time together.  I highly recommend a game night every now and then for your family, friends or even as a couple.
