An Easy but Fabulous 4th of July Party

Okay so summer is officially HERE TO STAY. School is out for summer, the sun is shining, and pool is calling our name. What better way to jump in than with celebrating the 4th of July?! I used to stress out so much around this holiday and hosting my friends because it's the day after my birthday and everyone is so all over the place with parties and plans. So this year, we kept it simple yet FAB.

We started by planning out our foods. The group of girls we invited to this party are all pretty health conscious, so we kept the menu light and summery. Our favorite menu item was the grilled romaine hearts, topped with strawberries, blueberries, and balsamic glaze. SO yummy and perfect fit for our red white and blue color scheme.

Next, we rolled up some patriotic papers into cones and filled them with chips. We even added a mini "Happy 4th of July" flag banner for additional fun decor. Lastly, we grilled up some burgers! We always find it's important to have both meat and veggie options.

And of course- DRINKS! We love making a signature cocktail which we serve in a drink dispenser for everyone to enjoy. We set out various wines and beer in a beverage bucket, and provide lots of water. It's important to keep everyone hydrated on a hot, sunny day!

My favorite part- dessert! We made this really fun cookie cake with vanilla icing, strawberries, and blueberries in the shape of an American flag. So fun and easy to make. Don't kill yourself over baking too many items. We also bought mini cupcakes, which were a perfect treat.

We also focused on some fun patriotic decor to make this party photo friendly. We got some amazing mylar star balloons, mini flags, and sparklers. We even made some DIY photo props, like a star USA sign and funky glasses.

Happy Independence day and happy summer!
