A Book Lover's Tablescape
It’s National Book Lovers Day. Not exactly sure what that officially means aside from celebrating BOOKS!
Here’s the thing…I don’t spend a lot of time reading books aside from the books I desperately read about parenting in hopes that I can learn how to parent a teenager! I do however, love to party so if there’s an excuse to do so, then I’m there!
Many years ago, I worked with a client to style a graduation party for his son and as part of the decor we sourced vintage books to use as risers. The books that we found look like they were made in the 1920’s. They are so cool and quite beautiful. Well…I kept them all and I’m so glad that I did!
For National Book Lover’s Day, I’m using these books to style a tablescape! I have arranged them as a runner down the center of my table and topped them with small bud vases of flowers that I picked up at the Farmer’s Market. Tonight is Shabbat and we’re hosting friends for dinner so this “Book Lovers Day” is a perfect excuse to dress up the table with a fun theme that required minimal effort.
