Prepping My Garden!
So the last few years, I’ve helped Seri transform her NYC balcony into a little garden terrace in the sky. It is was one of our favorite days of the year to go to the flower market, pick out all of our blooms, plant, and then celebrate with cocktails!
Gardening for her balcony inspired me to start gardening on my own. Last summer I planted my first vegetable garden! It was tedious, and took a lot of work but I am so glad I did it because I really did have a successful first garden!
So this year, I’m stepping it up! I am going to plant everything from seeds (because last year my boyfriend teased me for buying baby plants, haha). I also plan on expanding the garden and trying out some new veggies! This year my plan is to grow: tomatoes, cucumbers, green onions, peppers, and watermelons!
Watermelons were the ones I tried the hardest to grow last year. I got a baby one started but unfortunately I started too late in the season and it died because the weather started getting chilly at night ** insert crying emoji here **.
It’s still a bit too cold to go full on out with the planting so I’ve just been getting everything prepped and ordered so that when we have our first week of 60+ degree weather, I can start! Along the way I’ve found SO MANY cute products to add to my garden. I’ll link them all for you here in case you guys are interested in purchasing them for your own gardens!
Keep following along with my gardening journey via my Instagram takeovers!
