Winter Party Inspiration

Let’s be honest, winter birthdays are TOUGH. If your big day falls between January till about March, it’s not everyone’s favorite time of the year to go out and celebrate because it is just COLD outside. The time of year in which your birthday falls is something I think about often as I am an early April birthday and guess what happens every year on my birthday? Rain. It is the WORST.

Well anyway, if your birthday is during the chilly months my advice is to lean into the season. Make it a Winter Wonderland, or if you have child who’s celebrating - a FROZEN wonderland. I honestly think of all the party themes, winter wonderland has to be one of my favorites. It is so easy to put together a beautiful assortment of decor, and you can possibly re-use some of your holiday decorations. For example: disco balls, bottle brush trees, tinsel, etc.

Take this set up we did inside the store: We used disco balls (which we have out all year long because we’re party girls, duh) and tinsel, which was left over from our holiday decor. And we had to add in one of our blue candle holders, because the colors were too perfect. That’s the thing about party decor, sometimes you just need to look around you to see what you already have!

Now let’s talk about the palette… I mean how cute is this baby blue, lilac, white, and silver color scheme. It’s super gender neutral, which I always say is the best because you can reuse any of the tableware!

To give the assortment a little pop, we styled the table with cool table napkins and then added a fun little tote that you can use for party favors!

As an added piece of decor, we added an assortment of balloons from our balloon bar and added in this gorgeous snowflake mylar to stay on theme.

Now let’s talk food, I say continue to lean in! A few years back we did this party theme for a client, and it was one of my all time favorite kid’s parties we’ve done to date. At that party, we did a hot cocoa bar!! So cute, and you can even find snowflake shaped marshmallows for guests to top their hot cocoa with!

So in short, if you’re a winter birthday - just embrace it! And if you’re a friend of someone with a winter birthday, don’t let the cold stop you from celebrating!
