This is Ten
We recently styled a tenth birthday party at the Core Club for a movie screening. What a fun age 10 is to turn...double digits! And this movie themed birthday party was so perfect for this sweet little girl and her friends...
The kids were going to be spending the majority of this party in the screening room watching the movie 13 going on 30. So we wanted to keep the set up simple. For starters, we had a rockin' popcorn bar with movie theater candy wrapped in custom belly bands that we made and tied around each.
We served plain and cheddar popcorn out of large buckets in striped boxes and set out shakers with flavors to top.
We built a tower of plastic champagne coupes decked in bowtie ribbons for the kids to enjoy sparkling juice in style.
Then there was our dessert bar. My favorite thing here are the ceramic popcorn bowls that we found and filled with fresh flowers. We clustered balloons as the centerpiece and served the sweets on red, black and white platters. Mwah! Love this...
We had a great assortment of sweet eats from some of our favorites in NYC...chocolate dipped pretzels by Fatty Sundays, Mini donuts by Doughnuttery and cones of berries.
When the kids arrived we had set up a custom backdrop that we had made with Minted and invited the "Paparazzi" Dave Robbins to shoot the kids dressed up in props like neon hats and boas....boy did they ever love this!
And to send everyone home with a little gift we made favor bags with marquee letters for each child's initial and a picture frame for their shot from the "Paparazzi".
Happy Birthday Sweet Julianne! We wish you many more to come.
