The Social Society Product Love
When sourcing the products for The Social Society, we focused on two things: Small Businesses that we love and unique items that are not easy to find.
With that, we have created a knock out assortment and I’m pretty excited to show you around. Let me give you an overview so you know exactly what is in our store and on our website.
Super Smalls:
Now this is a brand that’s near and dear to me. As a party stylist in New York City for 15 years, I met some pretty fabulous people. One woman, named Maria was a particularly cool, sweet, kind client who I just adored. We worked on many events together and after a few years she told me about a special project that she was working on. Maria used to be an editor at Glamour magazine and then had three daughters who just loved playing with her jewelry. Maria designed and developed a line of costume jewelry inspired by her daughters called Super Smalls. The design, packaging, quality and styles are as chic as Maria. She absolutely killed it with this concept and line of products. I am so impressed and so proud to carry her unique items in my shop. We sell Super Smalls in store only where you’ll find rhinestone goggles, dress up kitten heels for kids, rainbow umbrellas, sticker packs and a variety of beading sets. Great for gifting and of course for cheering up a little kid or surprising them for their birthday.
Pickleball Prep:
One day, I was flying to New York City for an event and I got a text from my friend Anne. Anne was a mom I became friends with when our kids were in school together in Manhattan. Anne still lives in the city and was texting me to tell me that she launched a stylish line of Pickleball gear and wanted me to check it out. I told her Anne…this is weird timing because: A. I’m on my way to NYC as we speak and B. I’m opening a retail store in a town that is obsessed with pickleball. What are the chances?! So I went right over to Anne’s apartment and was blown away by the assortment that she showed me. Gorgeous, practical bags, racquets, visors, luxe serving trays and so much more. I couldn’t have been more excited. We sell Pickleball Prep in store only (on our orange shelves that we call FUN IN THE SUN!) and trust me when I tell you, you’re going to love each and every item, color palette and design.
Meri Meri:
For years now, I have been sourcing party supplies from Meri Meri. They are a European company who have simpled nailed the modern party supply space. Their tableware is incredibly creative, eye catching and beauitful quality. Their designs include metallics, 3D elements and current themes that relate to everyone. I am so proud to work with a company that is as passionate about entertaining as we are. You can find a huge selection of the Meri Meri products in our store and on our website.
Bonjour Fete:
I have been to LA several times and on one of my trips, I discovered a retail store called Bonjour Fete. That was it for me. After I saw this store, I knew I wanted to open my own one day. Rachel, the owner, who is Canadian like me (!) has a deep love for partying and that is the energy you feel when you walk into her store. Even if you don’t have an excuase to party, you’ll find one and you won’t leave empty handed. Rachel created her own line of products and they are on trend, vibrant colors and superb quality. Very imporessive. We are proud to carry some of Bonjour Fete’s gorgeous line of party supplies in our store and on our website.
It’s The Thought That Counts:
This may be my favorite part of the store…our card wall. We have sourced hilarious cards that are witty and so fitting to each occasion. We also carry some cards that were designed by our brand artist, Parisa Dale. They are colorful and joyful and most certainly would be a great addition to any gift. Our cards are displayed on rainbow shelves that we had painted in our brand colors bringing a pop of fun into the store as you check out.
Socially Seri:
Last but not least, is MY LINE of products! When sourcing for the store, I found a void in products that had a focus on our community. I was able to fill this void by working with my team to custom design some of our own products to sell at The Social Society. We produced party cups, some with the zip code of our store and some with the beach zip code, we created cocktail napkins which are a staple for every party you throw, we developed trucker hats that we are utterly obsessed with and we were able to partner with Anne of Pickleball Prep to design some racquets! We coined the line of these custom products as Socially Seri. You can find these all in our store and online.
There’s a heck of a lot more to talk about but I’ll save these posts and share more in October when we get closer to the “SuperBowl” of Holidays and want to talk Thanksgiving, Christmas and Hanukkah!
Stay tuned…
