You can't do that on Television was a Canadian TV show that aired the year after I was born. This show consisted of teenage comedy sketches that involved slime that would get dumped on their heads. It was pretty hilarious to watch actually. So when my friend Ilana told me that the Kids Choice Awards were coming up and Nickelodeon was hosting it...I thought this could be interesting... We are always looking for fun ideas for our Project Playdates as Gavin and Mazzy love any reason to hang out. And they seem to really love when we have a fun activity planned! So I found a recipe for "the best green slime" on Pinterest and it only required a few supplies. I was down. School Glue (8 oz bottle) Liquid Starch (1 cup) Green paint (we used glow in the dark) - you only need 1 squish....or the whole bottle...yikes. Give it a good stir. Finish that bottle of paint...ya may as as well.... AND Get Ready - To - SLIME! Now stop it! That's too much slime! You're making a MESS! It's getting ALL OVER OUR CLOTHES! Well that made for a super fun clean up. Moving on to the cupcakes....they also got slimed. My sister was visiting for the weekend and we made a lime custard slime to top some baked off cupcakes. Oh hell these were disgusting. But boy did they look pretty. !! We also had a little slime lime punch...what's a slime party without a little punch?! The playdate was a successful mess. And as usual, the kids had a blast. All photos above were taken by my friend Ilana Wiles of Mommy Shorts.
