Perfectly Chic Grazing Stations
We recently collaborated with our favorite caterers, Cobblestone Catering on a wedding cocktail party set up. The wedding was taking place at the beautiful Metropolitan Building in Long Island City. Cobblestone Catering was taking care of all of the food for the night. They asked us if we could come in to style their grazing stations for cocktail hour. There were two main stations for the guests to help themselves to: A cheese stand and a Mediterranean mezze table. For the cheese stand we wanted it to look and feel as though you were standing in a Farmer's market. We used wood crates for risers, buckets for dried flowers and baguettes as well as a dramatic display of cherry blossoms which we cut right from Michelle's backyard. For the Mezze station where Cobblestone was serving a selection of Mediterranean salads and dips, we found the most perfect setting within the venue to style this table. There was a large buddha head that was just fabulous. They also had some incredible, vintage luggage that we used for propping up platters. We combined wood bowls, burlap and a ton of fresh eggplants and artichokes to surround all of the food served at this station. We also filled the table with bunches of fresh herbs and kale. No doubt this was beautiful food at a beautiful wedding. Photos taken by Dan Lane Williams Photography.
