NYC Dining Snapshot

NYC sure does look different now- but if there’s one thing the current residents are all enjoying, its the access to amazing outdoor dining options. While in the summer it’s often impossible to get a reservation at your favorite rooftop or outdoor patio, this year it’s our only option and we don’t ever want it to go away!

Here are some spots I’ve recently tried and was so pleasantly surprised by the service and careful attention to health precautions.

THE SPANIARD

This gem located in the West Village is usually a great spot to grab drinks on the weekend with their crowded bar full of young professionals. Now they have migrated outdoors with tables that can seat up to 6 friends with plexiglass separators between all the patrons! Their famous burger will knock your socks off and their cocktails are as good as ever.

TACOMBI- NOLITA

This classic taco spot claims “best tacos in NYC” and I have to say I agree. Their Nolita location had ample seating and space for social distancing guidelines with some of the most reasonably priced mexican food you can find at a sit-down restaurant.

CASA LA FEMME

I went to this West Village Egyptian restaurant for a birthday dinner recently and beyond the delicious food, they had the best atmosphere I’ve seen yet. The cutest outdoor setup with barriers between all parties and speckled with beautiful decor. Best of all, they have intermittent belly dancer shows throughout the evening to enjoy while you dine and get the full experience!

DON ANGIE

This West Village Italian staple has been on my list all summer and so far no luck in getting a reservation. In regular times it’s difficult to get a spot and still now their list is always full! I have been once and the food was delicious so I’m dying to return and experience it outdoors. I passed by the restaurant a few times while walking around the West Village and their setup looks clean, safe, and still holds the social atmosphere you love for a restaurant like this one.

We hope you’re all enjoying your summertime outdoor dining experienced while still staying safe!
