Making the world more colorful, one party at a time: Cinco De Mayo Edition
You know what the world needs right now? A little more color. Boy, sometimes the days feel dark but as I tell my children each morning when we turn off the news, we need to hold our heads high and ALWAYS be the good guys!
This is how I feel when I celebrate holidays and get the feeling that I’m ALWAYS celebrating. I don’t ever want to feel guilty about that. It’s OK to enjoy your life! We are hard working, caring and loving people. Those of us who are doing good for the world, should enjoy it.
This Cinco De Mayo, May 5th (duh) is the perfect excuse to have a family and or friends dinner with your favorite tacos and salsa, the brightest color flowers and a pretty fabulous cocktail!
Let’s start with the Little Miss Party in a Box: Cinco De Mayo Edition. This fabulous and festive party in a box helps you set the stage with a few key items…
First, find some trees or use tape on a wall to hang the multi color banners for a stunning and colorful backdrop.
Set the table with fresh flowers from your local market or backyard if you’ve got some fun colors growing there.
I came up with a healthy and delicious menu spun off my kids favorite meal: Taco Tuesday! Tons of veggies, salsa, homemade gaucamole and wedges of lime. Don’t forget tons of chips to dip.
To sip on, I shook Passionfruit juice with tequila over ice and poured into a chili lime salt (Trader Joe’s) rimmed glass, added a slice or lime and starfruit to garnish and CHEERS! It was so refreshing!
Last but not least, have some fun with your outfit, let loose and pump those tunes.
CHEERS! And Happy Cinco De Mayo! Please share your entertaining fun with us!
