How To Add Decor To Any Party in a Box

But a question we get asked a lot is how do you add decor onto an already existing party in a box? So that’s what we’re gonna talk about today, how to elevate your box!

One of the simplest ways you can elevate your box is by adding themed balloons. We do this in almost everyone one of our boxes because it is our belief that it isn’t a party until you add balloons! There are so many options of balloons we can add to your box like mylar balloons, orbs, jumbos (our personal fave) and even letter balloons (great for a wow factor).

Whenever we’re designing a party, we also take a lot of time to think about the things people are gonna see. One thing that often gets over looked is balloon weights! Unfortunately they’re necessary so might as well make them cute and relevant to your decor!

Next up is florals, a personal favorite added decor element of mine. Whether you have a big budget or small one, any amount of flowers is gonna make it look that much more personal. Take the photo above for example, that was only about one to two bunches of dahlias that we simply put in bud vases and lined in the center of the table to create a dramatic effect.

Dahlias can get pricey especially when they aren’t in season, so if you’re on a budget my suggestion would be to grab some greenery from your local Trader Joe’s or Whole Foods and create a runner, its cheap and greenery is so versatile. You can keep it out for ours without it drying out! Depending on your theme, you can add fun stuff into the runner as well like Seri’s aunt Debi did here by adding various fruit throughout.

Speaking of food, let that be its own moment too! Fave fun with it, its gonna have to be out anyway so might as well make it pretty. One thing you can request on almost any custom box is custom water bottle labels. People are gonna need to stay hydrated, and this personalizes any bottle!

If you’re not on a tight budget, I highly suggest getting themed cookies. We do them for almost all of our in person parties because they’re a treat your guests can bring home with them and like I said, they double as decor!

And last but not least, if you want to add fun pieces to your party in a box set up, my suggestion would be to look around your house for items that can be used. One of our favorite examples is this tomato can that we used as a vase for flowers.

Next check your local party store for fun add ons. I love this little mermaid element we were able to add to this table set up. The shells and netting really made the table extra festive without adding a lot!
