Green Tea Sangria
Earth Day is coming up (April 22nd to be exact) and we are taking every opportunity to get in the spirit here at LMP, since we need to be kind to our Earth, now more than ever!
This week, I'm combining two of my favorite beverages - white wine and green tea... to make Green Tea Sangria!
Here's what you need: -1 bottle white wine (we used our favorite, Nobilo Sauvignon Blanc) -4 green tea bags -4 cups hot water -fresh mint -fresh lemon -honey
Here's what to do: 1) Bring your 4 cups of water to a boil. Transfer hot water to a pitcher and steep 4 tea bags for about 10 minutes, or to your desired strength. 2) Remove tea bags, and add 1 tbsp of honey to pitcher of hot tea. Stir gently to mix. Put pitcher in fridge to cool for about 1 hour.
3) Once cooled, remove pitcher of tea. In each cocktail glass, fill about 1/3 of the way with white wine.
4) On top of the white wine, fill each glass the rest of the way with chilled tea. Garnish with lemon slice and fresh mint.
Voila! Super easy, light and delicious. Think about enjoying this on your front porch on a springy day. Feeling relaxed? So are we!
Until next time...
