Gettin' Crafty this Fall
This fall has felt like…fall. Maybe that’s because I’m currently living in Toronto and everything here is 10 degrees (at least) cooler than NYC so we’ve had some pretty chilly days. And I like it. Fall should not be warm, it should be crisp and cool.
The other day I talked about fall trends and that mostly involved staying WARM! It also involved a lot of crafting.
I am so grateful for all of the crafty ladies in my life. I feel so surrounded by a wide array of talent and it’s always so inspiring.
Today I’m rounding up my favorite fall crafts for those cold days when you’re home alone, with the kids or friends. However you are hanging out these days. Be safe…and stay warm. Let’s do this…
Wine cork place cards
To tame your pandemic stress you have probably racked up a decent amount of wine corks now…
Well don’t throw them out. Save them for the days that you host a big party again. For now, practice on your family, partner for a date night or covid bubble friends.
Kathleen’s DIY (and so deliciously smelling & GREAT for a gift!) Body Scrub
And what perfect timing since we MUST take care. I keep thinking about how I must care for myself and my husband first. When we are at peace, the kids are at peace and then we’re all at peace.
Aunti Marissa’s gone BATTY!
When you give Aunti Marissa the task of coming up with a themed craft, she’ll never let you down. It’s the week before Halloween so if you are looking for some festive and very crafty fun (this is for the advanced) then click here so you can follow along with Aunti Marissa’s batty adventures….
Aunt Debi & Chef Luke’s Apple Orchard dipped apples
Remember the days when we could hug?! Omg. I wish. Till we’re hugging again…we’re looking back at Chef Luke’s old time adventures. We are finding ourselves with apples and pumpkins so we’re looking for recipes. Here’s a VERY easy one that your kids will LOVE and it’s a great use of leftover Halloween candy too!
Maggie’s Crafty Skull Flower Vases
If you’re like me and you enjoy decorating the front of your house for Halloween (not something I normally get to do because I normally am in an apartment) then you may be left with some plastic skull heads come November 1st. You can store em or…turn them into a cool vase.
Winter PREP because…why not?
Now that we’re nearing the end of the year, it’s time to think about and prepare for the winter holiday. Crafty Maggie’s “MERRY” light up garland is one of my absolute faves. Follow along when you’re ready to get in the mood…
