Dream in Cayman
The Cayman Islands Department of Tourism Board has been promoting the Cayman Islands through engaging events throughout the city. We had the pleasure of working with the Coyne PR team to produce a dinner party for one of their recent media events and it was absolutely gorgeous. No doubt it was an enticing way for the press to write about the beautiful Cayman Islands. This time, we styled an event that was hosted during Caribbean Week in NYC on the Monarch Rooftop serving as a chance for CIDOT to reengage with stakeholders, travel agents, diplomats and members of the media in a key tourism market. The event aesthetic was inspired by the colors and florals natural to the Cayman Islands.
With that, we pulled through gorgeous flowers including orchids that we draped over the cocktail tables and bars. We used teal blue vases for some of the smaller arrangements to bring through a pop of color inspired by the ocean and tall white vases for the larger florals.
The event happened to be on one of those crazy new york days where the smoke from the Canadian wildfires was out of control. For a few hours, we thought we would have to cancel the event but miraculously around 4pm the sky started to clear!
The venue was awesome. The Monarch Hotel is super swanky and cool and you take an elevator all the way to the top and you are then faced with the most incredible views of the city. Not to mention the Empire State Building is right in your face up there! Was pretty cool.
The CIDOT team did an amazing job engaging with their guests, serving up signature drinks with rum and gave the guests “dream in Cayman” swag to leave with. A good time was had by all…and now I want to visit the Cayman Islands!
