Date Night At Home
2020 taught us many life lessons… don’t take things for granted, hug your mom, remember how lucky it is to be healthy. All of that is very important, but another thing 2020 taught us is how to stay busy at home! Which brings me to day todays blog topic… date nights at home! How do you make the living room seem more interesting? I can’t speak for everyone but here are some tips on how I would do date night at home!
I think one of the most important things to consider when you and your partner have decided to stay in for the night is to have an activity. Personally I love board games and puzzles but me and my boyfriends ultimate favorite activity are table topic cards! We have a diner by us that has these on every table and every time we visit we can’t wait to play!
Next up would be the food. Whether your supporting a local restaurant or trying out a new recipe together, either way you can’t go wrong. But if you want to try something new, consider taking an online cooking class! I did this for Valentine’s Day this year and it was SO fun. We bought all of the ingredients in advance, and then just followed along with the instructor. And no, you do not have to talk at all during the class so it is not awkward. The online classes are with like 100 other people so everyone’s just watching and doing it together in their own kitchens.
Once you have food taken care of, make sure you have everything you need to set a pretty table. There is nothing that is gonna set the mood better than a table set for 2 with some pretty candles. Here’s what I would snag:
To me, one of my favorite things about going out is getting a cocktail. So make sure you have everything you need to make a cocktail at home! Pick one online that pairs with whatever your eating or pick up a recipe book and try a new one each week!
And finally, I would say your moving night on! But not without some cozy moving watching essentials like these items below:
Happy date night-ing!
