Bright & Bold Lips

One of my favorite party looks is a bright, bold lip.  When the ladies of LMP asked me to come over to get them ready for their recent Fifty Shades of Valentine's Day Shoot, I know that I wanted to incorporate bold lips into their looks to feature for our Beauty with Brittany Lo series.

We decided to showcase this look on Abby, and she recently got Urban Decay's Junkie Lipstick Vice Palette, which has plenty of fun and funky lip colors to choose from. To match the decor and Abby's overall look, we decided on 'Big Bang', a deep magenta with metallic copper flecks for some extra sparkle.

Here's how to apply a bold lip:

Step 1: Outline the lips with a lip pencil. Using a pencil is important when applying bright dark colors to avoid the color bleeding. Start by lining the peaks of the lips.

Step 2: Choose a lip color and apply it with a flat small brush. I recommend using the Sephora Pro Lip Brush #85. 

Step 3: Add some gloss on top if you desire!
