Beauty with Brittany Lo: The Perfect Ombré Lip

Hey guys! I'm back for another Beauty with Brittany Lo post with my favorite ladies from Little Miss Party Planner! This time around, Natasha of Beautini and I headed over to the LMP studio in Greenwich Village to glam Seri and Abby up for a very special event they were styling - the launch party for Mommy Shorts' new book!

The spotlight for todays post will be on Abby's lip look. The ladies of LMP recently styled an event for Maybelline cosmetics in the Hamptons, and left with a TON of awesome product to play with. They let me dig through their stash of product to decide what I would be playing with, and let me tell you, I was like a kid in a candy store.

Abby typically likes to rock a bold lip, so I decided to try out a style that I have seen becoming more and more popular recently: the Ombré Lip.

To achieve this effect, I used Maybelline's Color Blur Cream Matte Lip Pencil in 'I'm Blushing!' for the outer color, and Maybelline's Color Tattoo Pencil in 705 Pink Parfait for the inner color.

1) Line your lip with the darker color that you would like to wear. In our case, it was the Color Blue Cream Lip color. For this look, feel free to slightly exaggerate your lips to give a fuller effect, this about this as contouring your lips!

2. Fill in your lips fully with this liner. Another option is to use a solid matte lipstick for this step.

3. Take the lighter, shimmery lip color and do it only on the inner parts of the lips so it fades from light to dark. This is the color you will use for touch ups. Once you have created the ombré effect, you are all done!
