All Hair Types, All Humans

At the beginning of May we had the pleasure of working on an event for the brand Matrix. They had recently did a re-brand and were launching some fun new products, and were looking for us to transform a local salon into a rainbow filled room. You know we’re always down for a challenge, so we said - Count us in!

The premise of the event was that Matrix would be inviting some beauty editors to come get a hair service done, try some of their products, and then ultimately “shop” the product with their hairstylist so they could take a few items home.

The event itself took place in at Arté Salon. They were an absolute pleasure to work with and the space itself was a beautiful blank canvas for us to work our magic on.

Right as you walked down the spiral staircase you walked into a lounge space. We had a fun elements to this area such as a rainbow area rug, coffee table books, florals, and signage to make it feel cozy yet still on brand.

Next to the lounge was our product wall and product display vignettes. The product wall was the area that editors was area that the editors would end up at by the end of their service, so it made sense to have it close to the vignettes so they’d be able to discuss each product in detail.

To spice this area up, we added florals, baby’s breath installations that matched the color of the product, and of course this grand paper flower installation that really set the tone for the entire space.

Over on the other side of the staircase we had our hair stations. At each each station we styled product, added florals, decals on top of each mirror, and of course more paper flowers.

We brought the rainbow in all the way down to the snacks! We package tons of rainbow themed snacks like - rainbow black & white cookies, trail mix, popcorn, and gummy bears. Of course no LMP event is complete without branded water bottles so made sure to include those as well!

Finally, we had a barista from Mobile Barista come in to create handcrafted drinks in branded coffee cups, complete with foam art!

This set up was so fun to put together and we were totally in awe from the result!
