A Bachelorette Bash with Deborah Miller Catering
It’s that time of year: everyone is getting married or celebrating their last hoorah before the big day. We’re all about finding new ways to celebrate at a bachelorette party, and our recent discovery of Deborah Miller Catering was a dream come true. Just as a disclaimer, Natalie is NOT getting married! We just had her pose as the bride for our amazing tasting with the Deborah Miller team in combination with the release of our brand new Bachelorette Party in a Box.
You heard that right- we’ve updated our Bachelorette Party in a Box and it’s beyond perfect for any bridal party, complete with shatterproof PARTY PEOPLE wine cups for when the party gets a little crazy. It has a game and tattoos for the whole gang, as well as decor to make the party picture perfect. Lastly, there are plenty of napkins and plates for small bites, which luckily we had covered by Deborah Miller Catering.
As usual, we started off with drinks. The great thing about working with a catering team like Deborah Miller is that they can mix up a fun signature cocktail for everyone to enjoy when they arrive, and then you can have a few bottles of wine waiting on your bar cart for backup. They made us a kiwi mojito and it was so refreshing.
The first item to come out was Salmon Tartar Cone with Lemon Creme Fraiche and Black Caviar. It was beautiful AND delicious, especially paired with our confetti napkins.
Next up was mini tequila Cumin pulled chicken tacos with pico de gallo and cilantro. This was a crowd favorite, especially because it was served on top of a lime! The presentation was stunning.
The next item to come out was deconstructed crab cake with green apple, pickled ginger, salted cucumber and buttered panko. The best part about this was the artful assembly. It was made to look like an under the sea scene, with the breadcrumbs as the sand, the cucumber and crab as the coral, and the dill garnish as seaweeds. This display was so thoughtful and creative by the executive chef at Deborah Miller, Chef Mike.
I think my personal favorite from the tasting was the grilled chicken sope with salsa verde, citrus cabbage and cotija cheese. We also had the pleasure of trying the pepper crusted tenderloin crostini with spicy corn relish, roasted garlic aioli, and cilantro and a vegan thai coconut souffle with braised gold beet, and fresh jalapeno.
And of course, the meal would not have been complete without dessert. We added these adorable diamond toppers from our bachelorette box to the mini ice cream sandwiches with chocolate chip cookies and they were the perfect ending to a spectacular tasting.
The Deborah Miller team embodies everything we look for in a caterer we want to recommend to our clients. They were professional, efficient, kind, and served us food that was delicious and beautiful. We can’t wait to work with them again.
