Halloween Party on the Porch

When I was a kid, I used to be up the entire night before Halloween. I could never sleep due to the overwhelming amount of excitement that I had for the holiday. I couldn’t wait to dress up and trick or treat.

My mom never did anything too crazy to decorate our house but always made sure we had tons of candy to hand out.

Now that I’m a mom and party planner to boot, I go all out with the decorations at our house out east. Sadly, I’m not there to enjoy it on the night of Halloween but me and the girls thought it would be fun to show you how to decorate in a spooky chic way so YOU can have the best house on your block this Halloween.

For starters, we put up a balloon garland over the doorway. Instead of the traditional orange, black and white, we built pink into our Halloween color palette. Don’t know how to make a balloon garland? It’s so easy! We have a tutorial for you right here.

We brought a couple of the Adirondack chairs from my backyard onto my front porch and perched a couple of life size skeletons that we found here at Target on them to create a spooky but welcoming effect.

To highlight the stairs up to the door, we picked up a variety of pumpkins at our local farm stand in different sizes and sprayed them in an ombre of pink colors. So easy to do and they looked so fabulous layered onto the stairs.

We also spray painted plastic flamingos to stick into the grass which looked so creepy and rad!

Cobwebs are such an easy way to make things look extra spooky for Halloween and are sold at every craft and party store.

Of course we all got ourselves into the spirit and put on cozy sweaters and served cocktails + candy for the occasion.

Whether you look to these ideas for a Halloween themed party or Trick or Treaters, we hope you have a safe and fun Holiday!
