Taste & See NYC with LMP

Two seasoned New York caterers, Edward Huang (Hank Tomashevski, Callahan Catering) and Eunjin Lee (Pinch Food Design) have teamed up to create Taste & See Events. Edward had reached out to us to find out if we’d like to have a sampling of their East Asian menu and naturally we said YES!

The menu that we were sampling has drawn inspiration from Japanese, Korean, and Chinese flavors.  Knowing our love of food a LMP, Edward saw this as a great opportunity to indulge our passion.

Once Edward shared the menu with us, we couldn’t resist styling our space up for this tasting. We set the room with a black, red and gold color palette. Maggie and Natalie hung a black fringe curtain up giving our space a dark, romantic, vibe. We set the table with bold red cloth napkins and black tasting plates. We found unique items from CB2 to include the in the mix, our favorite being their marble beverage dispenser as well as their Asian themed serving dishes.

Maggie of course got all crafty with the menu hand writing the whole thing on an acrylic frame. Natalie found silver Chinese food take out cartons and Maggie used her calligraphy magic to write each guest’s name on a carton as their place card for each table setting.

Now let’s talk about this meal…not only was it off the rails delicious but each tasting was more beautiful than the next. Not only that, but Edward took a great deal of time and patience explaining each bite that we were taking.

After the small bites, Chef Eunjin presented us a box of fresh seafood and rolled sushi right in front of our eyes. Hand rolls, sashimi, you name it. The fish was the freshest I have ever tasted and I loved the one on one experience.

What I found to be so crazy about this experience was the fact that I was in the process of looking for a sushi chef to come into my home and make a meal for my husband’s 40th birthday. Well…look no more. I hired Chef Eunjin and Edward on the spot and that birthday dinner for my husband? Was the best ever. He loved it, my kids loved it and I loved seeing them all so happy. Magic and perfection.

I cannot recommend this duo more even if I tried. Their impeccable service, food and quality is top of the line and a great way to celebrate. We are so happy you found us Edward and Eunjin! We cannot wait to work with you again.
