PJ's and Smiles this Holiday Season
Last year we helped our friends at Mount Sinai hospital for the Holiday party that they throw for the patients and families of the Pediatric Hematology/Oncology unit. There is nothing that gives us greater joy than to be a part of this celebration and this year, we got to do it all over again.
We wanted to change up the theme this year so we went with a Pajama party! It was so adorable. The kids had the most fabulous PJ’s on and it was so nice to see everyone so comfortable and cozy. We used red, white, black, gold and silver as the color palette with splashes of plaid mixed into the tables. Maggie and our team made a huge balloon garland for the wall and we used letter balloons to spell out fun holiday sayings.
Like last year, we had a Build a Bear station and carnival games by New York Fun Factory, great crafts put on by the wonderful volunteers that Mount Sinai partners with and of course, a visit from Santa.
We also worked with our friends over at Little Luzzos to bring in delicious pizza pies so all of the guests had plenty to eat for dinner.
The kids had huge smiles on their faces all night long and you could tell that this party brought great joy to all of the families who were in attendance.
Huge shout out to the team that we work with at the hospital Ali and Darnett. These ladies are the true angels as they work with these children on a daily basis and they go above and beyond to make this holiday party special for their patients. Also huge thanks to all those who came out to help from the Make a Wish foundation and lastly to the team at New York Fun Factory for setting up so many fun activities for the kids to take part in.
Wishing all those who work and visit Mount Sinai a peaceful holiday and a Happy New Year!
