A NYE Cocktail Party with SPLASH
If you’re looking for a chic, easy way to celebrate NYE, we’ve got just the thing for you. Have you heard of SPLASH cocktail mixers? If you haven’t you’re in for a real treat. Not only is their bottle chic, sleek, and beautiful, but its contents are going to be your new favorite drink of 2019. Our friends and founder of SPLASH were kind enough to come over to our office, pour up some drinks, and celebrate the holidays with us! And they taught us a few tricks about their product along the way…
SPLASH was built on the idea that mixing a cocktail shouldn’t require 10 strange ingredients from the store that you’re never going to use again. With SPLASH, all you need is what’s in the bottle plus your favorite spirit to mix it with! The best part? They’re LOW CAL. That’s right. No need for New Years resolutions here, because you can have your cocktail and drink it too! Guilt free.
Of course, we had a little fun with ours by adding garnishes like lemon peels, lime wedges, and candied ginger! Not to mention it’s now available online and at tons of locations in the Northeast, Midwest, West Coast, and even Southwest. A fast, accessible way to pour a 2 ingredient drink for your whole party to enjoy.
Before we styled our cocktails up nice and pretty, we decorated for our party. We built a balloon garland with gold fringe tassels and brought it through our bar cart like a trail of bubbly. Then we added some fun metallic fringe from Decorative Novelty to the wall, threw some florals in bud vases, and that’s IT! Gorgeous and simple, and totally a crowd pleaser.
Now onto the fun part: Mixing the cocktails! A quick and easy trick is to pour from each bottle, counting “one Mississippi, two Mississippi” as you go to get the proper amount. Here’s what we used:
COCKTAIL #1:
1/2 glass SPLASH Moscow Mule
1/2 glass Vodka
garnished with lime and candied ginger
COCKTAIL #2:
1/2 glass SPLASH Cosmopolitan
topped with 1/2 glass Prosecco
garnished with lemon peel
COCKTAIL #3:
1/2 glass SPLASH Margarita
1/2 glass tequila
garnished with lime wheel
CHEERS to a delightful New Year!
