Little Miss Party

Two Weeks in Florida!

Back in February, I had the pleasure of spending a full 17 days in Florida while successfully escaping the cold winter of NYC. I had a trip to Miami planned for my cousin’s 30th birthday, and 2 weeks later ANOTHER Miami trip to spend time with my parents, brother, and sister-in-law. It seemed too silly to go home in between so who did I call?!

Seri, of course! Now, we had already discussed a time for our entire LMP Squad to get together at her house in Ponte Vedra around this time, so naturally she was thrilled that I could extend my time. For us, this meant more hours to work together on all things Little Miss Party.

If you’re someone who knows me, you know that I am busy running my little mural and interior decorating business, Nestia. Despite this, I would never give up my work with the Little Miss Party team entirely. Making beautiful content, designing parties, and flexing my creative muscles with LMP brings me so much joy, so carving out time in my schedule to devote to this company is of utmost importance. Luckily the winter allows for a lot of flexibility as people often wait until spring to make changes to their home.

I’m going to give you a little insight into WHAT WE DO to make LMP what it is. When you look at the LMP blog page, you see TONS of beautiful photos and inspiring party ideas, right? Well, lots of work, planning and creative execution goes into making this happen for you. We are constantly striving to improve our blog, Pinterest and Instagram to provide you with our best ideas to inspire your next entertaining adventure. It’s a team effort to make this happen which is why I go to visit Seri so often. It’s a collaboration that takes the planning skills from Seri, the logistics skills from Natalie, and the creative skills from me.

Once Seri knew she’d have me for a full 2 weeks, we jumped into planner mode. Natalie was in charge of prepping our mood boards to kick off the conversation around what shoots would be feasible during our time. She finds inspiration online for recipes, decor, and upcoming holidays that YOU, as our readers, might want to celebrate. Of course everything Natalie pulls together looks stunning. Seri and I gush over the possibilities but ultimately we know we have to narrow down to about 1 photoshoot per day (or 2 per day with prep days in between). And YES- all the photos you see in this post were form my time in Florida and these barely scratch the surface on all we created during that time!

This past trip, we focused on Cinco de Mayo, Easter, Mardi Gras, Mother’s Day, and Father’s Day along with various cocktails, DIYs, party boxes and so much more. We also had the chance to design a beautiful Galentine’s Day party, as Seri had already planned on hosting her girlfriends for that holiday.

As these holidays approach, you’ll see all the inspiring ideas to throw your OWN celebrations. And that’s exactly why we do this! We aim to show you just how easy it is for you to entertain elegantly, just like Little Miss Party. I was so sad to leave my girls and the Florida sunshine behind, but if there’s anything we know for sure it’s that no amount of time together is EVER enough. So I’ll be back, and I already can’t wait for all the creativity to come.
