Sips for Sunrise

Last year I worked with my father in law's accounting firm to host a fundraiser party that we coined "Sips for Sunrise" to raise money for Sunrise Day Camp. This incredible foundation is one that you can't resist getting behind as they send children with cancer to summer camp. How incredible is that? It was a pleasure to get on board and be part of such a wonderful way to help.

This year, they passed the baton to a law firm Lazer Aptheker Rosella & Yedid, P.C. to host the event and referred me along to help coordinate and style it all again. Of course, I was thrilled to do so.

I got to work with the most lovely women on this event, Lisa and Allison, who were so organized and top of all details required to put this together. When hosting a fundraiser there's a lot of moving parts: Sponsors who donate food and wine, Raffle prizes, Speeches, Music and Entertainment. But because these gals are so friendly and fabulous, they were able to get together an incredible variety of donors.

Like last year, I went with a sunshine yellow theme using yellow peonies and daisies that I found in the flower market. There was a lot of wine donated so I loved the look of large rustic buckets for the flowers and wine bottles as bud vases.

The guests networked, mingled, sipped on wine and ate a ton of delicious food. They placed bids on a variety of prizes and gave all their support to this great cause.

It was a really fabulous event to be a part of again, and hope to continue to have the opportunity to work with these folks in the years to come.
