Sake Cocktails + Hibachi in the Backyard

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of having the entire, OG LMP team here in Florida. We had such a ball creating content and eating amazing meals out in the sun while catching up and enjoying refreshing cocktails.

Speaking of cocktails…we experimented with several new ones and oh what fun that was!…

One of the nights that the girls were here I had arranged a Hibachi dinner in the backyard with my fave Hibachi Guyz. Gavin and Luke had invited some neighbors over to join us for this meal and I included the some of the moms who are darling. It was such a great way to get to know them and start melding into our little neighborhood here!

While at the grocery store earlier in the day of our Hibachi night, I found a beautiful bottle of Sake and thought it would be fun to incorporate into a cocktail for dinner. I grabbed it and gave it to Shaylan, My Cocktail Queen to mix up…

The cocktail she came up with was refreshing, delicious and paired perfectly with fried rice! She also incorporated my favorite drink that is ALWAYS my fridge: Gingerale!

Here’s how we made it…

  • Pull a pretty glass and muddle a little chunk of ginger into the bottom

  • Add 1.5 oz of Sake to your glass (I like a dry, crisp Sake especially when I’m mixing it into a cocktail. If you’re not sure how to find this, go to your local liquor store and ask them for a recommendation)

  • Add crushed ice and top off with Gingerale

  • Squeeze in the juice from a wedge of a fresh cut lime and add another wedge to the rim of your glass for garnish
    CHEERS and YUM!

We also whipped up a little Mocktail for the kids to enjoy! Passionfruit juice over crushed ice topped with club soda and garnished with a slice of starfruit and lime. YUM!! The kids were thrilled to be included with a special drink.

We served up these cocktails + mocktails to all of our guests kicking off the evening perfectly. Hibachi was such a breeze as the guyz set everything up from the tables, chairs, tableware and sauces. It was delicious and and always they put on a great show. What an awesome night!
