March Favorites

This month has been a slow shopping season for me. As we navigate the last of the cold days up here in the northeast, I’ve found myself buying less so that I can buy more when the weather warms up!

That being said there have been a few things I’ve been loving lately that I couldn’t neglect in this months post. Check out my list below of some of my faves!

MY PICKS

Blue Light Blocking Glasses - Ever since I got Lasik Eye Surgery back in November (which was one of the best thing I’ve every done in my entire life, don’t even get me started on that subject!), I have been more careful on how I treat my eyes. For me this means, apply eye drops when they’re feeling a little dry (side effect for the first couple of months post surgery) and getting blue light glasses so that I’m not straining my eyes in front of screens. A lot of what I do involves sitting in front of a computer, so to me this was a great investment. Also they’re pretty dang cute (and cheap)!

Gone With The Gin - My boyfriend, Liam, is obsessed with film and beer. I mean so obsessed that every night we are forced to watch a movie (new, can’t be something we’ve already seen before). A few months ago he got the idea to start an Instagram account (@scenesandsips) where he paired various drinks with films as just a fun way to enjoy your movie night a bit more. So when I saw this book I knew it would be a fun thing to add to his collection. This recipe book is more on the puny side, involving the names of movies into existing cocktails. Whereas his account picks drinks that are either represented in the film or fits the vibe. We’ve had so much fun looking through this book so I definitely recommend picking it up!

Beer Caddy with Bottle Opener - A few months ago when we started making our own beer, we brought it to friends or out with us when we wanted to go somewhere and I kept throwing the bottles in a regular tote bag and was very worried about them breaking and causing a mess. So I asked my LMP Secret Santa for a caddy to help me fix that problem, and they delivered (thanks Maggie!). We have loved this caddy so much! It’s so secure and it even comes with a bottle opener that is attached so you’ll never lose it!

Fleece Lined Snow Pants - It may be a little late in the season for this suggestion, but I did use them in March so I wanted to throw it into the mix in case you want to stock up for next year! I went skiing just last week and was originally planning to just borrow some gear from someone but then realized, it was time to invest. Even just with shoveling snow here in the Northeast, these pants would come in handy. I was a bit nervous to order them online because people has complained about the sizing but I got lucky because these fit me like a glove on the first try! The trick is to order what you usually would in jeans.

Trader Joe’s Truffle Marcona Almonds - Okay this ones for all of my Trader Joe’s lovers out there. If you love truffle, you need to run out and get these before they are gone! I’ve never really been into nuts but the intense flavor on these bad boys will really convert you into one! These are perfect in charcuterie board spread, as a topping on flatbreads, or just as a snack on its own!
