Mandy's Meals & More
Jackets are getting heavier, beanies are on, and hot drinks are being served. There is no denying it now, Fall is here and demands a delicious warm drink to cozy up with. Often recipes for hot toddies and spiced apple ciders are for 6-8 people. I wanted to make a single serving option. As usual, its super easy and likely includes ingredients you already have in your pantry. Feel free to mix things up with pumpkin spice in replacement or addition to the spices below. Put on your cozy socks, pull out your chunky blanket and warm up with this boozy treat! Ingredients: 1 bag black tea, paper and string removed 1/2 tsp black peppercorns 1/2 tsp ground cloves 1/2 tsp nutmeg 2 cinnamon sticks 1 vanilla bean, split and scraped 2 cups water 1 oz Makers Mark bourbon 1 oz milk (any kind, almond is also an option) Directions: In a small saucepan, combine tea, spices vanilla bean seeds and pod with 2 cups of water Bring to a boil, add milk mixing to combine. Lower heat to a simmer, 10-15 minutes to seep. Strain solids directly into cup or bowl, stir in bourbon. Top with cinnamon stick to stir. Enjoy ! -M
