It's hard to believe that another year has flown by and my lil big man is turning 4.
I asked him what he wanted to do for his birthday this year. He responded with "multi sports". I thought...hmm...you're such a boy. I also thought...Chelsea Piersis the way to go! And it sure was. They take care of the kids, pizza and drinks. I could have let them do it all but c'mon...of course I had to add in some of the LMP touches...it's my son's birthday after all!

Gavin played a huge roll in the party planning here. He chose a Cars theme, requested personalized pinniesand wanted the room decorated with colors blue and yellow. Not only did he design the party...but he also helped to set it up. A party planner in the making, no doubt.

I think by far the best idea this lil guy came up with was the personalized pinnies. We had worked with a client last year who ordered these for an event at Chelsea Piers and they were a huge hit...so I knew we couldn't go wrong.
Ali placed the order with Custom Ink. Their site was super easy to use and the quality of the shirts were awesome. The kids were so psyched with these shirts that had their names on the back!

To tie in the Cars theme we got some awesome plates, napkins and cups from Party City. And we put a personalized water bottle at each of the kids settings so they could hydrate after their running around like lil monkeys...

The kids later rocked it on the b-ball court...

And the babes joined in wearing sweatbands from American Apparel...

Then this happened...could they be cuter? Don't think so.

After the sports party fun we all gathered back in the spacious party room for pizza, drinks and the most fabulous and delicious cake that I've served to date! Empire Cakeswas behind this here...a Car themed cake made up of vanilla and dulce de leche layers. Holy YUM! It was a huge cake...that I expected to have tons leftover to nosh on later that night with a large glass of milk at home...but no dice. It was almost gone within seconds! So so good.

The party was relaxed, fun and EASY! A dream come true for a busy mom slash party planner who didn't mind kinda taking a step back...for once. It was so nice to be able to celebrate with my little angel.
