Jewelry that gives back
It's no secret that we love to entertain. We've even managed to build a pretty successful business doing so. And being a successful woman owned and operated business is something that is very close to our hearts. Meet
- A jewelry company whose mission is to empower people to rise above poverty. All of their products are handmade by women in Uganda, whom they buy from at fair prices while remaining intimately involved in helping them build better lives. 31 Bits was founded in 2008 by five college friends, and has grown from empowering 6 Ugandan women to over 170. Pretty impressive stats and an even more impressive story. They have received international recognition and press, including Martha Stewart Living, Fox News, CNN, The Huffington Post, Good Housekeeping, Harpers Bazaar, People Style Watch and more. When they came to us to help them showcase their new 2015 Classics Collection, we were honored.
Today we are wearing “The Entertainer” necklace which is perfect for us. We love to play hostess, while remaining the life of the party and are always dressed to the nines.
It's shocking to think these necklaces are all made from recycled paper - gorgeous!Being able to buy a great product while helping people in the process is a amazingly simple yet noble concept which more companies should employ.
Thank you 31 bits for including us in your campaign.
