Halloween Round Up: Our Favorite DIY Costumes!

Over the years we’ve put together some pretty fabulous and “Insta” worthy costumes. They were all pretty easy and you can find all the supplies needed at a local craft store. So in case you are looking for a last minute idea to put together before Halloween, check out some of our past favorites!

Fall Flower Crown

Flower crowns have become such a fun trend so why not make a fall inspired one for Halloween? There are so many ways you can dress up this fun accessory. In the post we did, we paired the crown with skull inspired make up but it would also be awesome to go full on “Earth Queen” with the rest of your outfit. Think deep green make up and faux greenery hot glued to a green or brown body suit. The best part is, you can reuse this crown year after year!

Hula Party Girl

If you’re a true party girl like us, you probably have some old fringe hanging around. Reuse it to make a fun Hula Girl inspired outfit! Now to be honest, this costume requires a few hours of labor to put together (unless you have one really wide piece of fringe) but it is so worth it because the end result is awesome! To dress this outfit up more, grab some flowers to stick in your hair and consider doing a glittery eye look!

Handmaids Tale Capes

Anyone else obsessed with Handmaids Tale? All of us here at LMP are so last year we put together these awesome Handmaids Tale inspired capes but with a fun spin. Instead of doing the traditional red, we went with a hot pink and we customized the back of our capes to have fun sayings on the back! If you have any friends who are also obsessed with the show, make it a group affair like we did!

Masquerade Masks

This one is definitely one of our more simple costume ideas but its great if you’re in a pinch! You can find all the supplies for this DIY at your local craft store. In our blog post, we show multiple ways you can choose to decorate your mask so determining a design is that much easier! Pair it with a super over the top outfit and you’re ready to go!

SKULL MAKE UP

A skull make up Halloween costume is by far the easiest costume idea! All you need is black and white make up which makes it perfect for those of you who REALLY are planning a last minute costume. Fun ways to dress up this idea are to add temporary hair color to your hair in black and white or distress your clothing! It will add to “dead” effect and make your costume that much more insta worthy!

So there you have it! 5 costume ideas that you still have time to pull together before Halloween! They were also cute and fun to make, we can’t wait to have some DIY fun next year!

Happy Halloween Crafting!
