DIY Gold Lawn Flamingos
We're all about the big trends here at LMP, and the flamingo trend is one we hope never goes out of style. Last summer we bought an amazing set of pink flamingos for the garden at Seri's Hampton's house. We decided to give them a chic makeover and style them by the pool for cocktail hour!
This DIY is one of the easiest YET. You will need:
-Lawn Flamingos- use as many as you would like to fill your lawn! -Metallic Gold Spray Paint- available at Michael's or your local hardware store. -Scrap Cardboard- to protect your lawn from the paint.
Step 1: Use something sharp to poke holes through the cardboard, and stand your flamingo up on the grass. You want the flamingo to be upright so you can easily coat it with your spray paint.
Step 2: Thoroughly spray your flamingo with the paint. Don't spray too close- give some distance so the paint coats evenly!
Step 3: Gather the fam & set up for cocktail hour.
Step 4: Bring in the bar, pick flowers from the garden, and add in your finishing touches. Unpainted flamingos and outdoor pillows for pops of pink to match our favorite pool umbrella brought the whole scene together. Enjoy!
