December Favorites

Back again with my favorites for this month! With all the shopping I did in preparation for Christmas, this list was SUPER easy to put together. Gift giving is totally my love language, I love finding that special something for someone in my life! And yes, sometimes that means I go a bit over board but it honestly makes me feel happy to give gifts so I write this off as an act of “self care”, haha.

Naturally, some of my favorites this month have to do with the holidays because who doesn’t love a mini Christmas tree??? And if you haven’t already, be sure to check out my ornament round up from last week to see how each member of the LMP squad would dress up their trees!

My picks for this month

Ribbed Beanie - I saw this hat on a random outing and decided to pick it up, because truth be told I don’t own a lot of hats because I never thought I looked that good in them. But beanies are really in right now and besides that, I just want to not freeze my ears off. I loved this one so much that I ended up grabbing one in another color for my secret santa as well!

Glittered Mini Tree - I don’t know why, but until this year I’d never thought of putting a mini tree in my bedroom! This one is perfect. It comes with little twinkle lights and is battery operated so you can put it anywhere without worrying about being next to a plug. Because I’m extra, I got the smaller size too along with mini ornaments, bottle brush trees to put around the bottom and these star ornaments that I used as a topper! Target is completely wiped of all their Christmas stuff, but if you do happen to come across any of these items, I highly recommend purchasing them and saving it for next year!

Bath & Body Works Foaming Hand Soap in Tis’ The Season - So like I mentioned in last months favorites round up, the candles at Bath & Body Works are in my opinion the best out there. So I was there shopping their annual candle sale at the beginning of the month and picked up some of these hand soaps too just out of necessity. Next time, I’m stocking up! These smell SO good, and the scent actually lasts. My only regret is that I didn’t buy more!

Chatbooks Photo Albums - This year for Christmas, one gift that I gave to my mom were these custom photo albums. Seri is actually the one who introduced me to this company and I was waiting for the perfect opportunity to make one! I ended up doing 5 custom albums, and they came out SO nice. I definitely recommend this as a great sentimental gift option.

New York Times Front Page Puzzle - This item actually made it onto my 2020 Holiday gift guide! It’s really SO good, and another example of a thoughtful or sentimental gift that someone would love. This year I got this for my boyfriend’s sister who was actually on the cover of the NYT! We always tell her it was her shining moment in life, so now she has a puzzle to commemorate it!

Russian Tea Cakes Recipe - I don’t know if this is a common Christmas cookie, but in my boyfriend’s family its a holiday staple! Before dating him, I had never had them. Honestly I’m not very into sweets so I never paid attention to them but a few years ago I got addicted to them and now I can’t wait for the holidays so I can stuff my face with these!

Vegetarian French Onion Soup Recipe - One of the hardest parts of being a vegetarian is that a lot of food items at restaurants are made using beef or chicken stock so they automatically become not vegetarian friendly. As I’ve said in earlier posts, I don’t let that stop me though from eating what I want. I just adapt the recipe at home to make it fit my dietary restrictions! This soup has been a favorite of mine this month. It’s SO easy to make and warms you up on a cold winter day!

High Waisted Leggings by All in Motion - Sometimes I can be a cheapo when it comes to clothing because I get afraid of investing money into things that I fear I won’t like in the future! Well at the end of last month I realized that one thing I need to stop being cheap about was leggings because the quality matters. All of my leggings were getting holes in them and they weren’t stretchy anymore!! It was so frustrating. These are soft and even have pockets on the side for your phone!

Accidentally Wes Anderson - This book is for all my cinema fans out there! If you are a movie lover, than I’m sure you’re familiar with Wes Anderson. I love his style of directing! For reference, he made The Grand Budapest Hotel, a classic if you ask me. His style is so recognizable because of his use of pastel colors, symmetry, and quirky landmarks. I am obsessed with coffee table books and this one seems like the perfect one to sit on your table and randomly flip through!
