Bourbon Apple Cider Sour
I've been DYING to make a drink with my favorite food of all time... apples! Now that the weather has changed and we are all wearing boots and sweaters in New York, I decided that it was finally appropriate.
In addition to apples, this weeks cocktail also uses fresh apple cider, another delicious fall staple. Are you ready for it?
Introducing... the Bourbon Apple Cider Sour. Also known as... fall in a cup.
Here's what you need:
-your favorite bourbon -apple cider (fresh, local is best... see if you can find at your local farmers market!) -orange juice -sugar cubes -fresh apples -ice
Here's what to do:
1) Add ice to each of your cocktail glasses. Pour 2 oz. of bourbon over ice into each glass.
2) Add 1/2 cup of orange juice and 1/2 a cup of apple cider to each glass.
3) Add 2 sugar cubes, or 1/8 cup of sugar to each glass. Use a straw or spoon to stir lightly. 4) Add a slice of apple to each glass as garnish.
Voila! Take a break from sipping your pumpkin spice latté to enjoy this beauty, which will be sure to warm you up and get you in the fall spirit! If you find yours not sweet enough, feel free to add more sugar cubes.
What is your favorite fall drink? Tell me in the comments and I'd be happy to make it for my next cocktail!
See ya next week!
