Blueberry Sparkler
Some of my best inspiration for cocktails comes from trying new drinks while out and about in New York City. I like to call it "market research".
A new bar opened up down the street from mine and Maggie's new apartment, called The High Water. It has already been named the hottest new restaurant in Queens by Eater NY, and that title is certainly deserved!
I've tried this new spot out a few times now, and one of the times I went I tried their Heel Tap cocktail, which was the inspiration for todays creation. Introducing, the Blueberry Sparkler.
Here is what you need: -vodka -elderflower liqueur -prosecco -fresh blueberries -fresh rosemary -ice -cocktail shaker -muddler
Here is what to do: 1) Put 1/2 a cup of fresh blueberries into your cocktail shaker. Pour a little bit of vodka on top of the blueberries. Muddle together until blueberries are well crushed. 2) To your shaker, add ice, 2 oz vodka, and 1.5 oz elderflower liqueur. Cover and shake well. 3) Pour shaken mixture into each cocktail glass, dividing evenly and filling up each glass halfway. 4) Top each glass with prosecco. Garnish with a sprig of fresh rosemary and a few fresh blueberries.
This cocktail is so yummy, gorgeous, and a lovely Fall option for those looking to take a break from all of the pumpkin/ cinnamon centered cocktails.
Until next week... cheers!
