Little Miss Party

And this is Two.

This week we had the pleasure of turning a beautiful day into a fabulous birthday celebration.

Sun, swimming, delicious eats and tunes. Can't think of a better way to celebrate the 2nd birthday of an adorable young man...

Little William turned two in the middle of August. William's Mom wanted a party to celebrate her little man in the relaxed environment of her backyard. Since we love nothing more then backyard pool parties, we were thrilled to work on this event.

William has a great love for all things related to water: boats, fish, crabs, whales...you name it. So we made this a nautical themed party filled with tons of fabulous customized details.

We dedicated an area on the grass for all of the families in attendance to park themselves and chill out. For the kids we set picnic tables with a place setting for each including sunglasses, a mini stick of sunblock and wet wipe for their dirty cupcake hands which came right after lunch. We designed water bottle labels for William and made sure to have plenty of bottles on hand for the kids and adults to stay hydrated on this very hot day.

For lunch we brought in our favorite caterers out east Janet O'Brien. Janet's team is not only a pleasure to work with but they don't miss a beat and the food is off the charts delicious.

Perfectly suited for a hot summer backyard party we served a good ol' fashioned BBQ. Sliders, corn on the cob, veggies fresh from the farm, grilled chicken and roasted potatoes.

The tableware from our summer party in a box was like it was made just for this party. We rolled the cutlery into napkins and tied with twine, used the stripe cups for the bar and the orange and white chevron plates looked fabulous with the navy in our nautical color palette.

For the bar, of course a huge dispenser of mint lemonade! And a sangria punch filled with tons of fresh fruit from the farm served with fruit skewers to garnish.

To keep the crowd entertained Dan the Music man was there playing his guitar and getting the kids jazzed up on the grass. He's the BEST there is. With instruments for the kids to play with and songs that the adults can sing along with, he kept the guests happy for the entire party.

To close out the party we served cupcakes topped with glittered anchors made by our favorite Etsy designer All that Glitters alongside a cake for William, lemonade pops, a huge platter for fruit  and Jello sailboats.

Was another successful celebration that we were honored to be a part of.

Happy Birthday William! We hope all your dreams come true this year and we'll see you next summer!
