A Fifth Dino Bash
When it comes to kids parties, its all about the theme! What characters or things are they obsessed with at the moment?! Most of the time we’ll get a particular TV show or movie that the kids are into and then its our job to make all the decor have that feel but with a sophisticated touch.
You may remember the 100th birthday bash we threw at the beginning of this year. Well that granddaughter of that lovely lady, Elissa, reached out to us about her son’s upcoming birthday in the beginning of February. And the theme? Dinosaurs! We were thrilled because we knew we could make it super cute.
This party took place at a gym on the Upper East side called NYC Elite. It was the perfect place for the kids to be able to run around and get all of their energy out, which is what you should always look for when planning a kids party.
As the star of the show, we set a fabulous long kids table where all the kids invited to the party could snack, eat some pizza, and hang out all throughout the party. We had a head count of about 50 kids so we thought it would be super cool and dramatic to attach green balloons to each of the chairs.
On each setting we had for the kids beautifully designed kids water bottles, Dino themed cups, a few small dinosaur themed items like sunglasses and tattoos.
Down the table we we had bowls of snacks that the kids to pick out throughout the party along with some cute dinosaur figurines.
To side we set a truly lavish dessert table complete with Dinosaur cookies by Biscotto Cookies, Oreos and Rice Krispie treats by The Perfect Cupcake, and delicious cake pops and cupcakes by Making that Cake. On each end of the table guests could grab a pail and load up on all of these amazing sweets to take home!
The birthday boy isn’t that big into cake so we instead did an awesome cookie sheet cake!
Finally as favors we put together these adorable drawstring dinosaur bags that the kids could grab on their way home.
We loved how everything turned out and hope to do another awesome dinosaur theme again soon!
Happy Birthday Mikey!
