A Cayman Islands inspired Dinner

One of the PR Firms that we work with came to us recently to style a dinner party for their client: The Cayman Islands Tourism Board. They are working to promote travel + tourism in the Cayman Islands. They were hosting a dinner party at the Chef’s Dinner Table for the media and we got to come in and do our thing…and make the space look stunning!

This was a really cool event for us to work on as we got to source different types of tropical florals and fruits. In sourcing we found that these flowers and fruits were very colorful and knew that they would make an impact on the table.

As a backdrop to set the mood and create a feel for the tropics, our clients created a backdrop to cover the wall of the venue where dinner was set up. It was so perfect lending to a warm, ocean-like vibe combined with the pops of yellow, green and fuscia on the table together it was most certainly inspiring.

Cayman Island is know for its production of thatch ropes so we sourced tableware, specifically chargers and vases that brought in this type of rope material. The napkins we used were knotted giving a nautical feel and we custom designed the menus and seating cards to fit the tropical setting.

The living room, which is in the front of the venue, is where we created an ocean/beach theme to focus on the water and the destinations beaches mirroring Cayman’s famous beach bars: Tillies and Saint June.
