Our Annual PJ Party at Mount Sinai

For the past 3 years, we have been honored to help plan the patient holiday party in the Pediatric Hematology/Oncology unit at Mount Sinai Hospital. We are always overjoyed to be a part of this celebration, and this year was as fun as always!

Last year, we decided to make the party a PJ party. It was such a huge hit, we decided to do it again! The kids all showed up in fun holiday pajamas, and so did we. If there’s one thing we love about this season it’s cozying up in a comfy outfit.

Our color scheme was a holiday mix of light pink, emerald green, silver and white- with pops of Christmas red! Using these colors, we made a huge balloon garland to stretch the length of the room. We also made a life size nutcracker as wall decor over the face painting station!

One of the biggest hits at this party is ALWAYS the candy table! We had tons of candies in festive colors for the kids to choose from and make their own bag to bring home.

Like last year, we ordered tons of pizzas from Little Luzzos and had lots of fruit so everyone was well fed!

The kids favorite part of the party is meeting Santa, of course. Our Santaland setup was a magical place for all the kids to meet Santa and get their very own gift for the holidays.

Overall, the party was a huge hit, and every kid there walked out with a big smile on their face. We especially want to give a huge thanks to Ali and Darnett, who are on the team we work with at the hospital. Each year they work so hard to make this a special party for the patients who they see on a daily basis. We can’t seem to tell them enough what true angels they are.

From the LMP team, we hope you all have a safe, healthy, and joy-filled holiday season!
