A Moroccan Sip N See for Baby Lukie
This past weekend we traveled to Toronto to spend a few days with my family. Let’s be honest, they had no interest in seeing me or my hubby…they just wanted to see my two precious boys. And who can blame them? They miss each other like crazy!
Back when I was pregnant with lil Luke (aka Lukie or “Yuke” as my older son calls him), my sister had been dying to throw me a baby shower and since showers are really not my thing we comprimised and she made a “sip n see” party for my new lil man instead. And what a great concept a sip n see is! Invite your friends and family over, serve some food, sip some drinks and see the baby!
I had no doubt this LMP Toronto party was going to be fabulous and that’s just what is was. FAB! Mandy collaborated with two of her good pals to put on this Moroccan themed soiree and their contributions were pretty spectacular.
Ashley, who has just launched a party planning biz of her own – Ashley Lindzon Events – put a great deal of creativity and effort into the decor for this party. I was so impressed! The color scheme was so fitting and gorgeous: cobalt blue, fuschia pink, sparkling gold and bright white. The details included several DIY projects that Mandy and Ashley worked on such as gold doilies strung along the window, bunting for the bundt cake – no pun intended, gold dipped forks for the dessert table (love love love) and gold sparyed soup cans used as vases.
One of my favorite DIY decor pieces that showed up all over the party…were these adorable spray painted elephants! Can you stand these? I can’t! I love them!
With a little taste of NYC…Ali from our LMP team back at home helped design the invitation inspired by one of my favorite stationary sites Iomoi.
Ali also designed these fun chocolate bar wrappers that were set out for the guests to grab on their way out…so sweet!
Another great detail…are there enough?! Was the tented food cards. First of all – I love chevron. Second, I love the color combo! Ashley found these freebie printables from the Wedding Chicks.
Ok wait…there’s more. Can you believe this? The “SIP” drinks! A make your own Caesar bar…beautiful and delicious.
And mint infused iced tea with more DIY here…straw flags! So pretty and YUMMY!
So we’ve talked about the sip…and a lot about the decor that you see…so what about the food? Betcha didn’t expect to hear about this did ya? Well sit down because Mandy’s dear friend Elyse who is 8 months pregnant and counting…blew the food for this party out of the water! Remember the food she made for Mandy’s shower? It was stunning. Well check this out…Here’s what she served up for those who came by to sip, see and have a nibble!

Now let’s talk about the shots taken here today. Robyn Harrison who we also worked with on Mandy’s shower came by to snap a few pics and did a fantastic job! Thanks for helping us preserve the memory of such a lovely event Robyn! We love working with you and look forward to doing so again real soon!
Final question…bet you’re dying to know. How did Baby Luke spend his big debut?
zzzzzzzzzz
ASLEEP! For the entire thing. It’s my party…I’ll sleep if I want to!
