Well…I’m Back!! After 3 months at home with my gorgeous daughter Alexandra…I am back in action at LMP! It was so amazing to spend the time with her but also feels great to get back into the swing of things. I feel like I have learned SO much in 3 months…so much to share…but I will save all that for another blog. Today I am here to tell you about a fabulous event we did last week for Lee Jeans. But I can’t help sharing a recent picture of my sweet girl!
A few weeks ago we received a call from our favorite PR firm Crossroads…you may remember them from the Cake Boss and Blue Bunny events, still two of our absolute favorites. This time, it was a 2-day men’s and women’s blogger event for Lee Jeans. Food, cocktails and trying on denim? What more could a girl (or guy) want!! We quickly got to work with our ideas and came up with a simple fall theme, since the crisp weather was already upon us. The event was to take place in the Lee Jeans showroom, so space was limited. We went to our friends at Broadway Party Rentals for this fabulous wooden bar which looked amazing in the room.
Our favorite bartender Darryl was serving up Whiskey Sours to the gents and Leetini’s to the ladies! Personalized water bottles and sparkling (and spiked) Izzy’s were also in the mix.
Instead of simple (and boring) cocktail tables, we opted for these amazing wine barrels with yellow stools…which we thought gave the room the perfect pop of color. Thanks Westside Party Rentals! Lee wanted to introduce some modern elements to the decor, so on top of each wine barrel we set out a few sleek white vases with different shades of orange and red dahlias, along with these fun mosaic candle holders we got from our friends at Party City! Also at each table was a white frame with the hashtag #Leemodernman or #Leelooks so that bloggers could tag their photos from the event. To round out the setup, a milk glass vase filled with mixed nuts topped each barrel. The setup looked awesome!
For a casual cocktail party, where guests were going to be coming in and out, we wanted to keep the food simple yet exciting…and of course easy to eat! We chose to mix both savory and sweet onto one table, which turned out gorgeous. Our favorite friends at Cobblestone Catering served up some delicious treats like spicy duck meatballs, BLT bites, organic cherry tomato tartlets, and veggie summer rolls, among others. When it comes to desserts, nothing says fall like Smores and pies…and we had both, in mini of course! Don’t these look delish? Courtesy of our sweets girl AnnMarie, who you may remember from a Rainbow party we did back in April. We also had some amazing mini cupcakes from our new friends at Butterlane Bakery…The flavors were out of this world! My favorite was chocolate with caramel and sea salt…topped with popcorn…YUM!
To change things up a little, we offered mini Sigmunds pretzels, with three dipping sauces (one of which included Nutella!!) on the men’s blogger night. If you have never tried Sigmund’s pretzels, run don’t walk. They are amazing. And for the ladies night, Sweet and Savory popcorn to take with you.
We loved working with wheat in addition to florals for this event. It just felt so “fall.” We displayed two bouquets, set in glass vases filled with orange gumballs… you can find these here at Party City. For a third vase, we covered it with a pair Lee Jeans and filled it with more fall colored florals.
Each night, our menu was written out on a pair of Fall 2013 Lee Jeans using paint pens, and hung above the food table. Gorgeous!
Each blogger left the event with a new pair of denim (Score!) and also a Lee flask, which we displayed in a vintage coke crate filled with wheat grass and set on top of a wine barrel.
One amazing aspect of our job is meeting and networking with new people every single day. It’s what makes this business so fun. We especially love chatting it up with fashion bloggers like Christine Bibbo of NYC Pretty, considering Seri and I both spent 10+ years working in the fashion industry. We may be out of the industry, but we still can’t get enough!
Thanks Lee for letting Little Miss Party put together this fab event for you!
